Saundra Stroope

In Memory of Saundra Stroop

We are deeply saddened at the passing of Saundra Stroop.  She was a 20 year friend of our CEO, sometimes a client and some times a great contributor to the work of EDA.   Through the years, Saundra had co-written articles with us, helped develop 360-degree surveys and assessments, created and delivered executive education programs and recently helped with the development of a psychological assessment and a Coach the Coach certification, yet to be released.  We are thankful for the time we shared with Saundra and will miss her ever positive attitude, friendship and contribution to executive development.

Celebrating the Life of Saundra Stroope

Saundra had an insatiable appetite for travel and adventure. She knew how to live life and had traveled the world. She frequently gathered her friends together to socialize. She enjoyed her adopted home in Utah. She skied, attended the Sundance Film Festival, hiked the foothills and took part in much living in Utah offers.

Saundra loved her dog, Charlie. He was her energetic companion on trips to Bryce Canyon, Bear Lake, Lava Hot Springs, and Moab amongst others. Charlie, like Saundra, was up for almost anything.

Saundra graduated from Texas A&M University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees. As a loyal Aggie, she led the Utah A&M alumni group having watch parties and celebrating other time-honored traditions of her alma mater.

As an active member of the Junior League of Salt Lake City since 2003, Saundra was philanthropic. She served on the Board of Directors and multiple service committees. Presently she was working on the Fundraising Committee to arrange the upcoming Black & White Spring Gala on May 20, 2023.

In 2019, Saundra wrote a book, Breakthrough: Career Strategies for Women’s Success, published by Business Expert Press. More recently in March and April 2023, she had a two-part article published in People Management, a British human resources publication. Another article she authored has been accepted for publication this coming November.

One thing Saundra’s friends will never forget is her laugh. She was a petite woman, but her laugh was so unique and boisterous, it made everything more jovial and funny.

She will be missed.
