Professor Sattar Bawany

Managing Director & C-Suite Master Executive Coach with EDA in Asia Pacific

Professor Sattar Bawany also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Disruptive Leadership Institute LLC (DLI) and the Centre for Executive Education (CEE). EDA is the Strategic Partner of DLI and CEE in offering the suite of Executive Development Solutions in the Asia Pacific region. He has over 35 years of international business management experience, including 25 years in executive coaching, group facilitation, leadership development, and c-suite training with global management and human resource consulting firms.

In addition to his business and consulting career, Prof. Bawany has over 20 years of concurrent academic experience as an Adjunct Professor teaching senior executives international business strategies and human resource courses at various leading universities. He is currently the Professor of Practice at the PPA IPE Business School – Paris and an Adjunct Professor of Management at Asia e University (AeU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Prof. Bawany is an Expert on Disruptive & Crisis Leadership as well as Leadership Transitions where he coaches the newly appointed CEO or c-suite leader (either being promoted from within or being hired externally) for their new role and assimilates them into the organization’s corporate strategy and culture to accelerate productivity.

His latest book, “Leadership in Disruptive Times: Negotiating the New Balance” (2023) was published in May 2023, and the earlier book, “Transforming NextGen Leaders: Meeting the Leadership Challenges in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)” published in July 2019. Both books were published by Business Expert Press (BEP) LLC. In November 2019, Prof Bawany was awarded the “2019 Executive of the Year for Human Resources Consulting” at the Singapore Business Review (SBR) Management Excellence Awards 2019. Subsequently, in July 2023, he was named by the CEO Insights ASIA Magazine as the “Top 10 Best CEOs in Singapore 2023.”
